CPR & First Aid Programs

The Topsham Fire & Rescue Department is pleased to offer a variety of CPR & First Aid courses. Courses are designed by the Emergency Care and Safety Institute. You will be emailed a certificate upon completion of the class. To schedule a class for your organization please contact us at (207) 725-7581 x 4 or email: Chief McLaughlin.

Along with our community classes, we will also provide CPR and First-Aid training to your business or organization. Please contact us with your group training needs.

Note:  we will need a final head count 2 weeks prior to the start of class to ensure we enough roster spots available. There will be no walk in registrations on the day of the class.   Checks should be made out to the Town of Topsham.

We will provide any books necessary for you to keep on the day of the class. The cost of the books and certification cards is included in the registration fee. 

Courses Offered

CPR/AED

This course is intended for the lay rescuer who needs a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course which is often required in the workplace, i.e. schools, coaches, fitness center staff, day care staff, babysitters.  This class DOES NOT include 1st Aid.

Course Length:  3 Hours

All citizens 12 years and older.

CPR/AED/First Aid

This course is intended for the lay rescuer who needs a credential (a card) documenting successful completion of a CPR course which is often required in the workplace, i.e. schools, coaches, fitness center staff, daycare staff, babysitters.  This class also includes basic first aid which covers traumatic injuries, strokes, heart attacks, seizures, environmental emergencies, and many other topics.
