Transfer Station Trails

The Transfer Station Trails are multi-use trails that surround the transfer facility and its two ponds. Trails are generally flat and wide, allowing for a variety of uses. Accessed by parking near the town transfer facility, the trail network is often used by ATVs, snowmobiles, mountain bikes, horses, and joggers. If you decide to visit the trails, please stay on marked paths only and be respectful of private property.

Directions

From the Frank Wood Bridge (green bridge across the Androscoggin) head north into Topsham on Rt. 201. Take a right at the first set of lights onto Rt. 24/ Elm. St. After about a mile, just after an underpass take a right on Foreside Rd. Follow Foreside Rd. for 2.3 miles and then take a left on Townsend Way. Follow this road until you reach the Transfer Station. Parking is available here. Pass the transfer station, stay left at the fork and you will find a trailhead on the right, just before you reach the pond.
