About Us

The Town Clerks Office is the keeper of the public records and is responsible for the preservation, safekeeping and disposition of municipal archival records and to provide access to records to both town officials and the general public.

The office is responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for coordination and supervision of all elections in the town, state, federal and local elections. Voter registrations, maintenance of voting lists, absentee voting and certifying petitions.
  • Records and administers the Oath of Office to all elected and appointed municipal officials, boards and committees.
  • Records and maintains all vital statistic records relating to births, marriages, deaths and issues certified copies, files marriage intentions and issues marriage licenses.
  • Administers business licenses and permits and provides basic notary services.
