How to recognize them, how to control them, and what to plant instead. Andrew Tufts, Maine Audubon’s Manager of the “Bringing Nature Home” program, will be our presenter.

Invasive plants have become a serious problem across our area—asiatic bittersweet, Japanese barberry, and burning bush are just three examples of plants originally brought in for the nursery trade, but are now overtaking our woods and fields. These plants are problematic because they replace native species, disrupting food webs and changing ecological conditions
