When:MDEP Permit Application Information Meeting – CMP in the Don Russell Meeting Room
Central Maine Power (CMP) is intending to file a Natural Resources Protection Act permit application with the Maine Department of Environmental Protection (MDEP) for its Section 31 transmission line improvement project, and will also be seeking a Section 401 Water Quality Certification. MDEP rules require that CMP must hold a public information meeting prior to filing the application. The purpose of the public informational meeting is for CMP to inform the public of the proposal and its anticipated environmental impacts, and to inform the public of the opportunity to submit comments to the Department during the application processing period.
